The AIM Act changed everything.
Your paperwork should keep up.

EPA refrigerant recordkeeping has always been complex. The 2026 ER&R Rule made it mandatory, specific, and enforceable for any HFC system ≥15 lbs.

📋

Paper logs get lost

A service ticket left in a work truck is not a 3-year compliance record. EPA will not accept "we lost the paperwork."

⚖️

New rules, new fields

Leak detection method, leak location, verification test type, documented annual rate — all required under 40 CFR §84.

📈

125% tracking

If a system exceeds 125% of full charge in a year, the owner must file an EPA report by March 1. Most techs don't know which jobs are accumulating toward that.

🔍

Documentation is the #1 violation

Inadequate records accounted for over 30% of all EPA refrigerant penalties in 2024 — more than any other category.

608Log solves all of this from your phone.

Every field required by law. Enforced at entry time. PDF generated before you leave the roof.

Everything a tech needs.
Nothing extra.

Built specifically for refrigerant service work. Not a general forms app with refrigerant fields bolted on.

📄

Compliant PDF on Every Log

Generate an EPA-ready service record PDF for every job. Includes technician cert info, equipment details, leak data, and customer signature. Emails directly from the app.

Required by 40 CFR §82.166
🔒

Leak Check Enforcement

For systems ≥15 lbs HFC, the app enforces detection method, leak location, repair description, and post-repair verification test. You can't skip fields that are legally required.

📊

Leak Rate Calculator

Auto-calculates annual leak rate as a percentage of full charge. Shows you immediately if you're over the AIM Act threshold for that equipment's usage category.

Auto-calculated
⚠️

125% Chronic Leak Alerts

Tracks refrigerant added per unit over rolling 12 months. Alerts you when a system hits 125% of full charge — the threshold that triggers mandatory EPA owner reporting.

Required by 40 CFR §84.110
🏢

Customer & Equipment Database

Full customer and equipment records linked to every service log. Track install dates, full charge method, system capacity, and complete service history per unit.

🧪

Cylinder Inventory

Track recovery and supply cylinders. See fill percentages, get alerts when recovery cylinders are full, and log which cylinder was used on every service call.

❄️

24 Refrigerant Types

R-454B, R-32, R-410A, R-22, R-134a, and 19 more. Correct AIM Act thresholds for each usage category. A2L flammability badges. HFC vs HCFC distinction for proper regulation.

☁️

iCloud Sync & Offline-First

Records save instantly to your device. Sync to iCloud automatically when connected. No internet required to log a job — which matters when you're on a rooftop.

📸

Photos & Customer Signature

Attach up to 5 photos per log. Capture a customer signature on the glass. Both appear on the generated PDF — documentation that holds up to scrutiny.

Every rule covered.
Every field accounted for.

608Log was built around the regulations, not retrofitted to them. Here's the specific regulatory coverage built into every service log.

40 CFR §82 (Section 608)

Recovery Requirements

Recovered amount, equipment type, disposition (reclaimed/recycled/disposed), recovery cylinder tracking.

40 CFR §84.106

Leak Repair Requirements

Annual leak rate thresholds by usage category. Mandatory repair timelines (30 days comfort cooling, 120 days industrial). Enforced in-app.

40 CFR §84.108

Verification Testing

Post-repair verification test required after every leak repair. Test type, date, and result captured and enforced before you can save the log.

40 CFR §84.110

Chronic Leak Reporting

Systems losing ≥125% of full charge in a calendar year require owner reporting by March 1. App tracks this per unit and alerts when the threshold is hit.

40 CFR §82.166

3-Year Record Retention

All service records retained in iCloud with full technician and equipment snapshots. PDF footer cites the retention requirement.

AIM Act ER&R Rule

HFC System Coverage

Correct thresholds for comfort cooling (10%), commercial refrigeration (20%), industrial (30%), transport (10%). HFC vs HCFC distinction built in.

Common questions.

Does the free version really include PDF generation?

Yes. EPA compliance documentation is a legal requirement, not a premium feature. Every tier generates and shares PDFs. Pro adds your company logo to the header.

Does 608Log work without an internet connection?

Yes. The app is offline-first — logs save to your device immediately. iCloud syncs automatically when you're connected. You can log a job anywhere, no signal required.

What refrigerants does the app support?

24 refrigerant types including R-454B, R-32, R-410A, R-22, R-134a, R-407C, R-448A, R-404A, and more. A2L flammability is flagged. HFC vs. HCFC thresholds are applied correctly per regulation.

Which systems are covered by the AIM Act ER&R Rule?

HFC refrigerant systems with ≥15 lbs of charge. This includes comfort cooling (R-410A, R-454B, R-32, etc.), commercial refrigeration, industrial process, and refrigerated transport. R-22 systems fall under the older Section 608 rules with different thresholds. 608Log handles both correctly.

Are residential systems covered?

Light commercial and residential split systems are exempt from the AIM Act ER&R leak repair requirements, but EPA 608 recovery rules still apply to all systems. 608Log logs recovery for every job regardless of system size.

How long are records retained?

Both 40 CFR §82 and §84 require records for 3 years from the date of service. iCloud stores your records indefinitely. Every PDF footer cites the 3-year retention requirement.

Is this available on Android?

608Log is currently iPhone-only. An Android version is not planned at this time.

Can I cancel my Pro subscription?

Yes, anytime through your iPhone's App Store subscription settings. Your data stays in iCloud and you keep access to everything on the free tier.
