608Log ("the App") is operated by the developer ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the 608Log iOS application.

By using 608Log, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Technician profile information (name, EPA certification number, company name, contact details)
• Customer information (name, address, phone, email) that you enter into the App
• Equipment information (make, model, serial number, refrigerant type, system capacity)
• Service log data (dates, refrigerant amounts, leak check results, notes)
• Photographs attached to service logs
• Customer signatures captured within the App
• Location data (only if you explicitly enable location capture for a specific log)

Information collected automatically:

• App usage data via Apple's built-in analytics (aggregated, not individually identifiable)
• Crash reports through Apple's crash reporting infrastructure
• In-app purchase transaction data processed by Apple's App Store

2. How We Use Your Information

All data you enter into 608Log is used exclusively to:

• Generate EPA-compliant service record PDFs
• Maintain your service log history and equipment database
• Calculate refrigerant leak rates and compliance thresholds
• Sync your records securely to your personal iCloud account
• Process and manage your subscription through Apple's App Store

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and iCloud Sync

Your service records are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This means:

• Your data is stored in your iCloud account, not on our servers
• We do not have access to your service records
• Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and Privacy Policy govern data stored in iCloud
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time through iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → 608Log

4. Location Data

608Log requests "When In Use" location access only when you explicitly tap the "Capture Location" toggle on a specific service log. Location data is stored locally in that log record and synced to iCloud as part of the log. We do not collect or transmit location data to any external server.

5. Camera and Photo Library

Photo access is requested only when you choose to attach photos to a service log. Photos are stored within the log record on your device and iCloud. We do not access, transmit, or store photos on any external server.

6. Subscriptions

Pro and Agency subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information. Subscription management is handled by Apple. You can cancel your subscription at any time through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

7. Children's Privacy

608Log is designed for professional HVAC technicians. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

8. Data Retention

Your service records are retained on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you use the App. Both 40 CFR §82 and §84 require that refrigerant service records be retained for a minimum of 3 years from the date of service. Deleting the App removes local data from your device; your iCloud data is subject to your iCloud account settings.

9. Your Rights

Because your data is stored in your personal iCloud account (not on our servers), you control your data directly. You can:

• Delete individual logs within the App
• Export your records as PDFs at any time
• Delete all app data by deleting the App and clearing its iCloud data through iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage

10. Third-Party Services

608Log uses the following Apple-provided services:

• Apple CloudKit — for iCloud sync
• Apple StoreKit — for subscription management
• Apple Core Location — for optional GPS capture

We do not integrate with any non-Apple third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
